About Lucky Us Farm

Lucky Us Farm began as our way of finding creativity and purpose - by caring for animals, learning as we went, and building a life connected to the land. What started with a small herd of alpacas and one llama that were already living on the property, along with a big leap of faith, has grown into something far richer than we ever imagined.

The Early Days

In the early years, life on the farm was all about learning, caring for our animals, understanding their personalities, and finding our rhythm. Each llama and alpaca brought something unique to the herd, teaching us patience, curiosity, and a deep respect for the land and the animals who call it home. We quickly decided that we wanted to share this experience with others, so we threw open the barn doors. Eager and curious visitors were often surprised by how quickly a quiet moment with an alpaca could turn into something memorable.  What we didn’t know then was how much the farm would grow beyond its fences.

 

The Years That Followed

In the years that followed, Lucky Us Farm evolved in the most meaningful ways. Many of those who first came as visitors became valued friends, forming lasting connections that continue to shape the farm today. We also welcomed new llama and alpaca babies and rescued homeless llamas, alpacas and barn cats. Adding a flock of sheep opened the door for even more creativity, giving Kris new fibers to work with as she learned spinning, weaving, and fiber arts.  Along the way, the farm grew into a magical venue for gatherings and celebrations, complemented by a gift shop filled with thoughtful treasures, each one inspired by the animals, creativity and joy found here.

 

From quiet farm visits, a walk with a llama, and community events -  to weddings, private gatherings, and once-in-a-lifetime milestones, the farm became a place where people came to slow down, connect, and experience something truly unique and magical.  

 

What the Farm Is Today

Today, Lucky Us Farm is a place where experiences matter more than polish. Come as you are. Come curious. Come ready to slow down. We host intimate celebrations, weddings, live music, and hands-on fiber experiences, all centered around creating genuine connections. Guests are encouraged to be present, breathe deeply, and enjoy the simple magic of the farm—whether that’s sharing a laugh with friends, learning a new skill, or spending time with our llamazing animals.
